So, I kind of feel like another blog of this type on tumblr is kinda pointless. Reason 1 would be that there are approximately 10000000 more just like it but much better.  Reason 2: I created this so I could rant about political junk an’ all away from my “main” account, but really. There is just too much to rant about. Too many manipulative politicians, religious nutjobs, people...

licketydo-licketyda: reallyfoxnews: Again, forcing or coercing someone into being vaginally/anally/orally penetrated with or without force is rape. Being forced to be vaginally penetrated with an object in order to receive an abortion is rape.  “As an unnamed lawmaker told a fellow Virginia delegate, a woman already consented to being “vaginally penetrated when they got pregnant.””

Kindness ends when they start making sexist generalizations and pulls the whole “women are just drama and men are chill so I have more guy friends”. DAMN, it’s lucky that every single person who says shit like that is the exception to the rule amirite?  I realized have no non-snarky way to reply to that BS anymore. The nicest thing I can do is not respond at all.

White History Month?
ifilikeityoulikeit: Well of course there is a Tumblr dedicated to the ignorant folks of, let’s just say America, who are confused as to why there isn’t a White History Month. Someone should have told them we have White History Life. Note: @jtyler_spence rocking his “NObama” avatar. On the other hand, after further investigation, his Twitter profile does say “Christ In Everything.”  ...

Misc. Rant #?
I’ve always felt the pressure to “be better than that”. Especially in queer and feminist circles. I’m always being told by outsiders that I have to “be better than that”. Form logical, rational arguments to appeal to people. Treat them with respect and dignity. I should never lower myself and get emotional or angry. Instead composure and control is necessary to...

Jourdan — who, since being emancipated, had moved to Ohio, found paid work, and was now supporting his family — responded spectacularly by way of the letter seen below (a letter which, according tonewspapers at the...

Thoughts?
I am a person who has a uterus. However I’ve never really felt fully comfortable ascribing myself to being a “girl” or “woman” or “female”. I also really don’t understand or agree with a decisive binary divide. As I’ve grown up, learned, and explored, I realize I feel the label I most closely relate to is that of a gender fluid femme. However,...

Hard Truths: Affirmative Action →
racismschool: How many times have you heard “I can’t get a job because ofAffirmative Action” or some variation of this line?  There is an ongoing rhetoric about how white men are the new minority. CIRCULAR LOGIC.
Starting claim: If a woman is dressed in something revealing, she is advertising herself and wants sex. If she gets raped, it’s because she was “asking for it”. But if she was truly asking for it, it would be consensual. Rape is non-consent. It’s not a question of what you personally think of the way a person is dressed. IT’S ABOUT CONSENT. It’s whether or not...

Feminist history is complicated.
iamateenagefeminist: feministhistorian: One thing I’ve noticed over the past year is how feminist history is either seen as good or bad. I know there will be many people who will agree with this just as there will be many people who do not. But there is no “shared woman’s experience”.  People’s race, ethnic group, color, where they live, are all necessary to assessing the different way sexism manifests itself in different places and cultures, and how ethnic stereotypes play into it. So feminists with white...

No… I like feminism because it gives women the ability to do whatever they want. I don’t like that women are constantly told what to do and who to be by society. That’s a huge reason why I identify with feminism, I don’t like being told what to do or who to be.  So why would I try to tell other women what to do or who to be?   A question selected from the ever-popular collection...
